Highwinds employees and their families got down and dirty this past Saturday at the 16th Annual March of Dimes Mud Volleyball Tournament in Orlando, Fla. The event raised over $172,000 dollars in 2009 and this year’s event was expected to raise even more. Highwinds has sponsored a team in the event for each of the past four years. Although wins were harder to come by this year (Highwinds’ team won one out of five games after winning seven out of eight last year), fun was had by all who participated. Highwinds and its employees were most excited about contributing to the March of Dimes whose mission is to improve the health of babies by preventing birth defects, premature birth, and infant mortality. Every day, babies are born fighting for their lives, and every day the March of Dimes helps them win.
